Sharing…we are all four of us (me, Raphael Awen, Gabriel Heartman, andLeena Colibri) in a phase of sharing as it overflows naturally and organically from our hearts and souls in an alchemy of Divine creation. There aren’t questions for us of what to share and when, it just comes out and then is offered..can’t really work on ‘assignment’ when it comes to following Divine and higher self flow. This process of creativity allows us to see ourselves, to express our ‘leading edges’ of BEing, and to alchemize and manifest this expression ‘out’ in the world as it grows from within.

That these expressions of heart flow then land and resonate with others, with many of you who are offering hearts and thumbs and comments, is the downstream layer of nourishment for us after the creation. THANK YOU for taking US in as you serve our growth even as, hopefully, you receive the gifts too that support yours. This is the collaboration that we enter into together whenever the energy is exchanged through your receiving and our giving.

The Healing Gifts of Our Relationship to the Feminine: Kings of Heart Blog Series

Today is International Women’s Day.  It felt fitting to feel into the Sacred Feminine for this blog series.  Now, of course, in the world of the Sacred Masculine, everyday is Women’s Day, and vice versa. It is a reverence that just IS.  It resonates and harmonizes with the feminine inside the masculine.  It is clear that the 3rd dimensional matrix upon Earth (I use Gaia for its 5D reference) is that of a patriarchal energy. While else would there be a day to celebrate women?  It feels important to let in what the feminine means for all of us males, and to feel where our personal shadow may be in relationship to Her.  

Since our “fall” from a more balanced union with the feminine there has been a force within the collective wounded masculine that has sought to dominate the feminine in one form or another. It has showed up in personal/social relationships, religious texts or their interpretations, the need to gain control over nature and consume Her resources.  In this I feel a deep fear of separation.  The feminine had a much stronger connection to Source, possibly due to their ability to give birth.  It just understands creation and is a vehicle for that in a much more visceral way.  I can feel this existential territory the collective masculine has navigated.  In this fear of the unknown and unknowable, of which the feminine is so intimate, it seems likely that this need to control would play itself out.  It also feels true that the masculine was more influenced by these darker energies and that this “influence” was coded into the DNA/meme of the masculine blueprint.  Again, playing here, but something feels true here. The main point to me feels like, as men who have more of the masculine energies in us, that we are a part of that coding and it has influence.  

To truly ascend into what we are calling our Sacred Humanity we must feel any blocks or denser energies that can anchor us into 3D, or wounded densities.  Our relationship to women is  psychospiritual and has many gifts even in the shadow.  By going inward (I call in going “yin”) and feeling the parts of us that hold more “negative” feelings about women, rooted in our relationship to mother and other important influences, we can begin to see what lurks in the background operating system of our projections.  Our mothers/female care-givers hold a huge part of that reflection.  What was the dynamic between mother and son and how does it play out in our current relationships and perception of the Divine Feminine?  I know it is a bit Freudian but it is extremely important.  I don’t feel it can be glossed over in regard to ascension.  

The era we find ourselves is requiring us to inhabit a more Feminine frequency.  We can not control this thing.  It is a surrender to Love Spirit that cannot be contained but seeks a container to move with and through. That is tough knuckles for the wounded masculine energy that wants to control and issue its own parameters.  I feel it in my being as the days progress.  I am still working with it on some level as the Light is shining more on what needs healing.  That is why I am being guided write this.  But the gift of going in and feeling our relationship the feminine we are given the gifts and guidance needed to make our way into our more natural expression as a Sacred Masculine Human.  

We are blessed with the ability to dance in the unknown and the aliveness that that brings to our present experience of life.  We are opened in our hearts to let in more of this exquisite love juice that in lapping up on our shores every second of infinity.  We are delivered into union with Her impeccable sensuality and sexuality as a portal to the All That Is that kareens this magical energy all up and down our chakras.  We see with heart eyes with reverence for all of life in all its bountiful and beautiful expressions both of, and outside, this world.  There is an unlimited capacity of imagination and creation that sends beyond the machinations of our limited consciousness.  She is the Queen to our King.  
Gaia is looking for her Kings of Heart to arise out of the necessary ashes of 3D and embody the truly majestic essence of our being.  We need to do our due diligence of feeling all there needs to feel in relationship to Her and the Feminine.  There is a correlate in woman as well, but I will leave that to my feminine counterparts for that discussion.   I will be touching upon more about our inner feminine in later posts as they arise.  As always I appreciate any constructive comments or ideas that you may have about this that I will take into my heart.  I am exploring this with an open heart and I don’t claim to have any definitive truths.  I feel the heart says it all and is willing to feel more.  Thank you for taking this in today and a special Love shower to all the women, feminine etheric/galactic BEings, Gaia, and Divine Mother on this day.  I am in awe and reverence of YOU.

Kings of Heart: Arising of the Sacred Masculine Blog Series

This moment we all find ourselves in is extraordinary.  We are in the midst of a great awakening from all that we have been asleep to.  We are being exposed to more light codes, rising vibrations, and a thinning of the veil between dimensions.  These are all meant to assist us on the next phase of our journey with Mother Gaia and our own growth as a soul toward more and more remembrance as our essence of Love.  Much is discussed about our general human relationship to ascension, all of the ebbs and flows, ups and downs, but it feels important to feel into our dualistic expression as male and female to see how it can affect how we experience and engage in these energies.

At the core we are All One.  But we chose to partake in the dual as a way to experience Love as Other.  To be a conduit for Love to experience itself in its infinite possibility.  In that dual state we chose to learn in a more masculine or feminine form.  The lessons and challenges are the same on a very human level but there are others that lend themselves more specifically to one or the other.  This is the path we chose to walk out.  

This is a time of a great rebalancing on Mother Gaia.  There has been an over abundance of wounded masculine, or Yang, energy that has served as a wake up call to our need to balance with the more Sacred Feminine.  This energy exists in both men and women, however has been more energized in the male form. I do not judge Yang energy as negative.  It is vital to all of life and is sacred in its purest and most healed expression.  There was a purpose behind this disequilibrium.  It will all be more understood as the nature of our “past” and “future” find themselves in our current state of NOW.  There feels to be a connection to our Atlantean and Lemurian inheritance that may be at play here.  At least that is how it is coming to me in my personal discovery with my guides.  It is all play here and part of the masculine healing is to feel and engage in intuition, while taking in what has already been learnt about this dimension.  

During this “time” of great peace and abundance, there was a more balanced male.  Leaders and creators of great reverence and wisdom, co-creating in tandem with the feminine.  Somewhere there was great influence by more negatively polarized BEings that caused a shift in consciousness that brought the end of this civilization.  The psychic grid lowered in density and thus the veil emerged to eclipse the conscious memory of what once was (and still is).  However, its legacy lives on in our DNA.  We have been affected by that time, I believe, as well as numerous others.  In our masculine expression, we lost something so near and dear to us.  In the collective male psyche, I am exploring the ways in which we may have a suppressed emotive digestion of all that happened and how that has influenced our 3D experience.  The theme, or archetype, is that of The Fallen King.   

In honoring of the lyrics I posed at the beginning I want to bring this “closer to the heart”.  Even if the Atlantis piece doesn’t resonate I feel this theme does.  At least it does for me and I believe I am here to explore it more and with those that feel it too.  There is a particular feeling tone that brings it to the surface of our emotional body.  It may come out as shame, guilt, control, fear, judgment, aggression, and depression.  As the energies I mentioned earlier increase, the “oil” of these repressed emotions and memories will surface.  The question is, how do we as men respond to this influx of emotion that is currently underway?  How do we see ourselves as leaders and co-creators in this dawning Age of Golden Earth?  How do we relate to the Sacred Feminine as the vehicle for our ascending Sacred Masculine?  Where is it that needs healing to fully inhabit this new role similar to, but different from, our intra-dimensional experience?  

These are all questions that I want to explore myself and have you join me in.  I am not an expert on Atlantis and am being guided to feel more than research but I am certainly open to whatever you feel may be of importance.  As part of the healing community called SoulFullHeart I will be using that lens to bring this topic into heart focus.  We are in an epic time and I feel we are on a journey together.  A journey of exploring,  remembering, and experiencing ourselves beyond the limited consciousness we have found ourselves in and are currently awakening to. The feminine is imperative on this journey so I encourage you all to join along.  It is through your heart and soul that we rise again and seek co-creative “power with” through your Yin nature.  Together as men may we arise to embody our Kings of Heart.

Untethering From 3d To Let In 5d

There is nothing ‘wrong’ at all with the kind of time and space orientation that we all know in 3rd dimensional reality that we all share. In fact, there is actually so much ‘right’ about it, that if anything, we’ve been unable to really handle its magic, so we’ve had to dull it down in an attempt to make it manageable.

Many of us have become so skilled at this dulling down that we find ourselves stuck in ennui and boredom, seeking some kind of external change in our time and space circumstances to shake off the doldrums.

But from the beginning, ‘getting stuck’ in any dimension was only and ever meant as a process for us to bake in order to lead us onward.

3rd dimensional time and space, and us, as aware beings within that, were imagined up from the creator as a way to have an experience outside of the timeless-allness bliss that it was. In fact, the divine actually got tired and bored of this bliss and reached outside of itself for something more. Boredom preceded creation. So it remains.

If that’s true, and I believe it is, then even our admittedly medicative and harmful distractions we seek from our boredom are a divine similarity in us. We seek freedom from boredom.

This week, where we live in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, there have been 3 guys vacationing and sharing a suite just across from the deck where I like to sit out on and gaze and meditate, taking in the ocean. They’ve been given to lots of beer and giggling with one another and their own kind of nervous explorations in camaraderie. It was touching for me to feel at times, even in my annoyance at them, that they are actually no less ‘the divine, out divining’ than I am seeking to meditate and travel with star beings and archangel guides. They will ascend when they are ready, and in the larger picture, they are ascending every bit as much as I am. Did I not need similar experiences in density to arrive at where I am today?

We are all in such deep sacred journey that it is inescapable. We are hopelessly ‘the divine out divining’, all of us…., you, me, and any and all ‘others’, including many kinds of beings and consciousnesses that are off our radar, awaiting reconnection with us.

If we can see this utter reverence for every kind of dimensional experience and experiment, we are then so primed in that kind of reverence to let in other dimensions. When the divine, divined out of itself so called ‘others’ who felt individuated out of itself just enough to provide an ‘otherized’ experience of itself, the divine considered this dimensional experience we know as 3D time and space reality to be nothing less than supernatural. So that means, we, living in 3D are nothing less than part of the divines’ cosmic wow expression and experience. Right now, already, you can’t actually become more God than you already are, except in your awareness of that reality. You only and ever only become something ‘more’ in the discovery of what you always were and never lost.

The only thing on the downside in all of this though is for us to get so captivated by this dimension, that in our forgetfulness of other dimensions, we suffer in a sticky stuckness that can’t seem to find our way out, able to only check out, but unable to leave, and explore beyond. Our souls certainly can get stuck for painful times and be suppressed in our awakening.

We however, like the divine, become more and more, when we are ready, simply bored and tired of locked-in 3rd dimensional living. A holy dissatisfaction begins to ebb more and more into our being. The enjoyments, pleasures and deep meaning found in 3D living simply dries up. Now, we are straddling more and more into the 4th dimensional place that is a bridge to the 5th dimensional reality known in our souls (by one description) as the Golden Earth reality. This is not an easy dimension and it is not for the weary, or weak of heart. Here, in 4D we literally burn up many of the comforts and super things of our super-natural lives, in order to reach for a dimension that we know is there, but vulnerably, we don’t experience much of it yet. Here we become a different person and feel intense shakedowns in all of our relationships.

Truly gaining more and more access to this so called 5th dimension, that our hearts tell us is possible, is firstly about completing and fully inhabiting the 3rd dimension and learning all we were meant to in that dimension. Our planet, Gaia, is currently going through its own ascension into the 4th dimension, and so it is a pressure that all of her inhabitants are feeling, and it makes for a big support structure for those ready in their soul journey to make the ascension with her. There is nothing wrong with any being or consciousness who needs to complete a phase in a so called ‘lower’ dimension and isn’t ready to ride the ascension wave many of us are feeling called to embrace.

We need to feel this same way towards parts of ourselves who need to be felt in this way for where they are at. Not all of you may be on board with this ascension process that a soul part of you is so excited about, and egging you on with. Feeling a part of you still attached to 3rd dimensional reality will be necessary to integrate in order to ascend. This is a ‘none left behind’ kind of deal. As a soul fragment being birthed out of God, we were only willing to be participants in this ‘god-otherization’ project if we were given the assurance that we would never be ultimately left behind, regardless of the necessary level of forgetfulness of our actually being a part of God.

With these kinds of feelings and reassurances, the kind that colour our hearts with love, we are enabled to much more so open the portals of our imagination to begin having real experiences of Golden Earth to call us forward and beyond…

This is the untethering into 4th and eventually 5th dimensional experience, loving and feeling and completing all the goodness that the 3rd dimension had for us, and will continue to as we incorporate 4th as a path to 5th, more and more.

A King’s Heart is His Castle

For any man to embody his true essence as a sacred vehicle of Love, he must consider his heart his castle. It is where he holds the lost, forgotten, and wounded parts of his inner kingdom. Where he offers his benevolent compassion and healing balm of acceptance and gratitude. He lights the way home for his scattered brothers to return to the place that once held a circle of unity and integrity. It also beckons the return of his inner queen for whom he had lost but not forgotten. He combs his geography in the dark and murky places to offer safe passage back into wholeness. It is not an easy journey and is riddled with challenges that offer more guidance and opportunities for strength of heart.

As the castle begins to hum in glorious communion of self-love, the light turns itself outward to the greater lands of humanity and the cosmos. The inner lead and passion is reflected out and begins to call to his brothers to build their own castles and kingdoms. To send his Love call to his outer Queen for they were always meant to be together. She is what invites him to the higher realms and He provides the chariot for which they will travel in union.

There is no greater call in these ever-shifting times. It is our return to our inner sacred King that provides the thrust forward, outward, and onward. I hope you will join me in co-creating a new Heaven on Earth.

Two magics of a different kind

Meant to dance together though opposite,

Intended to weave together a tapestry

Of sweet intimate love and fiery passion.

 

The love mosaic we create together

And the dance steps we make up

Give us the juice we need to keep finding ourselves

And each other

Again, again and, possibly, again…

 

A two-step with endless possibilities

And an infinite ceiling

Of deep respect and admiration

Watches over us as we find those tensions

That keep it all alive.

 

In a ying-yang mess of body parts

We breathe onto each other’s skin

And into each others hearts,

Blowing on the embers of the hottest love

As it cascades through each of our chakras

In a timing we can’t plan.

 

Your mental prowess and creative expression

Impresses and presses upon my forest heart

Teeming with alchemical creation

And the consciousness we each bring towards the other

Only serves to prolong the ongoing ache

Falling Yin Love

Over the past few days I have been going into my heart and soul to feel what I am being guided to offer and express. In the process it was not about solving or figuring anything out. A distinctly masculine approach. One that I have used often. I felt to reboot my relationship to more Yin energies within me. To do so is to go in rather than out. From that came an idea to start a possible book or something like it titled “Going Yin”. It is an exploration of what it means to feel our Yin nature as a human male. What are the themes that are so different from our wounded masculine tendencies? How do those live inside me and how do they shift the way I feel and perceive myself, life, reality, and love? There is a great shift happening and I am being guided to feel more into this as being in a more Yin space will offer many gifts in the arising unknown. To dance with it rather than fight it.

Words on paper. That is what I am being guided to do. While a part of me is questioning this “strategy” to starting a book, I immediately can feel the energy of plan and structure. I am not judging this, just noticing it. I was inspired to begin a…God knows what word could be inserted here…a free verse of a journey into the inner feminine of a male human being. The needs of strategy, planning, and structure are apparent as I have language and purpose to attend to but it is more an experiment in energy and intuition, and a trust that I have those already embedded in me. I feel the logical part of me wanting to reread this and check for clarification and profundity.

There is a great example. I have never used that word ‘profundity’ in my life (that I am conscious of). I am sure I heard it, was given a definition or context, and stored it somewhere. But I would have never used that word by structured choice. It came out of me through just listening to my intuition. My stream of consciousness. That, to me, feels very Yin in nature and the very reason why I am choosing to embark on this. While I have been on a very Yin-based awakening process, I still find myself relating to life, in all its variegates (okay now it is getting silly), with a more masculine filter and reaction. I love my logic and reasoning. Don’t get me wrong. They are still a huge part of who I am, and who we are as human beings. I just feel this over-emphasis on it as a way of being and perceiving in the world. It is a deep wound based in fear and separation, or the fear of separation to be more specific. That is my sense of it. This could be elaborated on, clarified, or just plain changed over the course of my journey.

The impetus for this desire has arisen through my conscious awakening way of life called SoulFullHeart. It was founded by Jelelle and Raphael Awen as means to access our emotional pain body to allow the healing that is needed for us to awaken to our essence as divinely Infinite Love. It was birthed from Jelelle’s connection to the Divine Mother and the hard to feel reality that Her love, as well as Divine Father’s, has been misplaced in the shadow of our collective wounding, which is masculine in nature. A journey back to balance is felt as crucial as we find ourselves on the brink of global uncerntainties. But there is even a bigger picture. One of ascension. That there is a dimensional transition underway. One that part of an evolutionary process. A quickening. Gaia is moving into a 5th dimensional era. I don’t exactly know what I totally mean by that to be honest. I know there are all sorts of ideas and information out there. I am just downloading my own interpretation and will be exploring that further in my heart as well as with those that I am closest to. Regardless of the specifics, the point is there is something big happening. (In Yin time it has already happened, is continuing to happen, and will be happening…all at the same time. Yeah…no sense thinking about it.) The metaphysics of this I leave to my good friend, mentor, and co-yinner Raphael Awen.

What I feel is needed in this time of change is a good deal of Yin. A trust and an surrender in something that contains us and is there for us when we feel lost and in the process of change. We are being born into something new. A new way of relating, of communicating, and creating. All rooted in the beauty and power of Infinite Love. But there is much to feel in all of it. We have much to feel as our limited perception of reality will be challenged and the pain of our past, present, and future will be exposed to be felt in order to move on. Regardless of where I, or any of us “end up”, it is all still wrapped in Love.

But I feel beyond this picture of Yin as a life-preserver, for if I solely see it as that then I am coming from fear that I will be “left behind”, I want to experience life from a more Yin seat of being. That is to not become a woman, but to experience my authentic masculine expression. It through the sacred feminine that I feel our sacred masculine arises. Our strength, heart, passion, sex, and creativity are all made whole and more in line with our divinely masculine nature. So in a way, I am more on a journey toward my Yang through the mysterious and admittedly scary waters of Yin’s birth canal. I feel changed in my being somehow just by writing this. Something shifting toward my desire, creativity, and purpose. I feel supported and guided to continue the next set of words, whenever they arise, wherever they lead. This is the heart of Yin and I think I am falling in love.

The Emotional Reasons Why Men Are Drawn To Porn: Sacred Masculine Blog Series

He cannot relate to his own beauty, and neither can he relate to the beauty of the woman. To settle for looking at pictures of women’s awesome and naked beauty instead of having a personal and in the flesh experience of that beauty is like settling for pictures of nature, rather than experiencing the beauty of the forest, the ocean and the sunset.

I feel I’m downloading a bigger piece around the male attraction to porn.

Let me see if I can put some words around this that make sense and you tell me if this feels true for you or not.

For many, porn isn’t just an attraction, but a full on addiction with a ton of shame and self loathing.

Men are creatures of stunning beauty, and somewhere, deep inside, they know this. They know this, not consciously, but rather in the very fabric of their being. The universe doesn’t make any junk. This form of knowing lives in them despite everything else that says it isn’t so. The wounding, the self loathing, the deep core unworthiness that they carry in relation to what it means to be a man; none of it can diminish the actual and true beauty and power of what a man is in his essence.

But this beauty isn’t known and felt consciously or experientially. This incredible worth doesn’t colour their inner hearth of self-perception. Like an under-age heir to the throne, it’s theirs, but not yet.

To see yourself or any man as anything less than the grand beings they are is to perpetuate and contribute to this blocked access to true being. To call a man a pig because he paws over porn is to demean both the man and the pig.

Now this man, separated from his true worth and unable to embody it in life or relationships, is starved from the nourishment he was intended and created for. Outside of his own sovereign domain of worth, and unable to have a felt sense of his being, he turns to relate to women through this same separation from essence.

He cannot relate to his own beauty, and neither can he relate to the beauty of the woman. To settle for looking at pictures of women’s awesome and naked beauty instead of having a personal and in the flesh experience of that beauty is like settling for pictures of nature, rather than experiencing the beauty of the forest, the ocean and the sunset.

Both the woman and the man here in this settlement are utterly excluded from true and validating experience of beauty and sexuality. The porno-graph is a lousy substitute for the porno-experience.

The man is essentially using porn as an attempt to hold his relationship with his separation and banishment from true beauty.

It could be said that a man awakening to his sexuality could be served by a teen phase of porn, or a man needing to awaken his desire, but to settle for it, means something deep inside is disconnected and dying.

Like any addiction, now, porn becomes an attachment to replace a missing something. Any addiction is not a bad thing. It’s telling us something. We may not like it’s effects on our lives, but that doesn’t make it bad or wrong or evil. It’s something that is calling our attention.

Men are meant to function in connection with the greatness of their worth. Anything less than living from that ground stirs ache and frustration, all of which call him to something more. If a man is anything, he is a being in search of more.

Finding and living into that more is what life is about.

Healing Our Hijacked Masculinity: Sacred Masculinity Blog Series

Let’s dive into some more big picture stuff.

I offered in a previous post that you can call it the sacred masculine or divine masculine if you want to, but masculinity itself (like femininity itself) needs no such adjective. Adding the reverential is for you. It offers a way to expand your consciousness to a higher plane. Awe, wonder, and reverence are the result of coming out of the locked-down state of normal waking consciousness and being allowed to see depths of reality that are normally screened out of awareness by powerful parts of ourselves. Worship doesn’t effect divinity, it effects you. It effects you into your own divinity.

I am a man, male in gender, showing up in this 3rd dimension of reality currently as a 55 year old, with a name and a back story (a his-story). I have dreams for my future (a her-story) yet to play out in this time dimension phenomenon of past, present and future thing that we all dance with.

But all of this is just how I show up. What I am is actually an energy flow of infinite love. My true being and my higher self is ethereal. The manifestation of this energy here in 3D land is what is showing up as Raphael with enough continuity and distinction that this ‘me’ energy gets to participate in many things, one of which is masculinity. Another is femininity. I am a manifestation of both gender expression energies with a polarity that is weighted around the masculine, evidenced in my physical and emotional body. I am energy dancing in polarity. I sit here in this thing called a moment, using my thumbs on a thing called an IPad, using another phenomenal invention of linguistics to convey another phenomenon of thought and directable heart energy to convey meaning! My god, that any of us don’t just explode in any and every moment is an energy/miracle/management phenomenon itself of stunning proportions.

Instead we find ourselves bored and needing something called entertainment.

What happened?

How could life itself have become so tamed?

The other day, Jelelle Awen and I stepped into a large touristy store on the Malecon seawall asking about sunglasses, and the clerk about my age wanted to show me the ‘farmacia’ section, taking me over there, pointing out the various medications and pausing on the Viagra. ‘No necesito’ I replied. He looked at me persistently with one eye brow raised while glancing and nodding over in Jelelle’s direction. I had to again reassure him that I didn’t need or want his offer. Jelelle said later I should maybe have asked the guy if he had a pill that could do the opposite.

Today, we need a drug to stiffen the cock, an app to have a relationship and a movie to draw a tear. We have been hijacked from the essence of life itself and have been offered the cheapest and most degrading and demoralizing substitutes. We’ve been robbed off life, and robbed of awareness of the crime and blindly offered fixes.

Who we really are and what we really are hasn’t gone away. It’s still here and available. The only thing holding it back from awareness is powerful parts of you who became convinced that raw life is too risky unless life is heavily medicated and managed with these deep dimming effects upon your perception and experience of reality.

Getting to know, feel and heal these parts of ourselves is the path into our masculinity. It is also the path into the sacred marriage of our inner femininity with our masculinity inside of ourselves. Only this inward journey can truly change anything in our outer expression.

Joining a spiritual men’s group can afford you some ground for the masculine to have reflection and drama, but until that translates into deep inner self discovery, you are only fused with the parts of you posturing around as a stiff cock or a limp cock, while the true energy of you is capped off upstream and left mostly unavailable to you, remaining a deep mystery to be explored is a later life.

Real manhood is about this inward journey. The true Shamans of our time are those who know this journey and can guide others into their own sacred journey. Ayahuasca can show you a vista or two, but it cannot take you to that reality as your waking reality. It takes a man living a real life, identifying what he really wants and finding the courage to choose that at any cost to know this manifestation of his infinite love energy essence firing on all cylinders in this earthly domain.

Moving Beyond Mediocre Manhood: Sacred Masculinity Blog Series

Mediocre manhood. Those two words don’t really belong in the same sentence. Sadly though, we can’t escape the reality as it exists today…..or can we?

Escaping mediocre manhood will require awareness of how you are showing up as man, what isn’t working for you, the humility to admit it and the choice to seek something more.

How each of us as men have become the man we are has so much to do with the patterns of manhood that we were shown. These patterns were ingrained into us on so much more than a cognitive level going to the very heart of our being.

The word ‘pattern’ is from the same original word for the words; father; pater; papa and patriarch. Our father is literally our pattern, our ‘patron’ Saint, our admission into the ‘patriarchy’. Each of us as men is running a kind of emotional operating system that came to us via our fathers. Our father got it from his father, and so on and on. It may not be our father, or even a man in the role of our father, but all of us as men received intense male patterning and templating for every boy and man around us.

It is only as the contents of this,…let’s call it our EOS (emotional operating system) become conscious and brought up into our awareness, that we can even begin to move out of mediocrity in our manhood.

Here alone is a big step. Most men have a codependent relationship with all men and especially their fathers whereby they agree not to speak any ‘negativity’ towards their fathers. What this really is, is an agreement to keep the patriarchy intact from generation to generation. Only as you refuse to participate in the insanity will you find any ground to leave the insanity. This means you’re going to have get critical about dad and his pattern as it lives in you. I don’t know how else to say it. You don’t need to be a superiorizing asshole about it, but you can’t escape critique. Your critique will need to be vocal enough to exit the insanity. Being critical beyond that is just cycling in an enmeshed relationship men, dads, and male friends.

Unless you are willing to say no to every man, you can’t actually find your deepest version of your truest manhood. You may not need to say no to every man, but you will need to be willing to say no if your goal is your highest expression of your manhood. You don’t owe your dad a thing, and a healthy self realized dad doesn’t expect a thing in return for his role and years as a father. Actually, the greatest gift a dad can receive from their son is their ‘fuck you dad!’ of individuation, which ideally should come around 18 years old. Now, after this healthy completion of the childhood phase, dad and son can go on to forge a totally new relationship with the old one having truly died and been reborn.

Only now, after this death and rebirth, can new patterns be explored and come to be a part of a new EOS. This is the real initiation into manhood that is not only missing in our culture, but so missing from all of the manhood groups I have encountered this far.

Men want more. It’s in them at their very core. No amount of conditioning can erase that. Conditioning can and does try to manage and suppress this wanting of more which is in itself is a testimony to this essence in a man.

Exploring this ‘more’ will be finding and feeling and healing all the aspects of your EOS that no longer serve your most authentic version of yourself arising. The way this is done in SoulFullHeart is through getting to know the parts of you that makeup your ‘you’ stream. You are far from a single personality. This is probably no more evident than in relation to your masculinity. Our parts can and do respond very differently in different situations. You are not insane. You are multi-dimensional. You have more than one you, several more in fact.

Until you come to discover your parts or subpersonalities, some part of you is posing as you, working so much harder than is healthy to keep your ‘you’ show running uncontrollably on the mediocre default patterns that are in the male collective.
